How May I Visit an Inmate in the County Jail?
Visiting Days and Times –
TEMPORARILY DUE TO COVID-19 INMATES ARE ONLY ALLOWED 1 VISITOR PER INMATE. MASK ARE REQUIRED
Summer
Friday 09:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Males
Friday 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Females
All visits are limited to 30 minutes. Weather permitting
Visitors are limited to three (3) persons per inmate.
Visitation is subject to change.
Winter
Friday 09:00 a.m. To 12:00 p.m.
By Appointment ONLY, Call on Mondays 7-12 to make appointments.
Visitors are limited to three (3) persons per inmate.
All visits are limited to 15 minutes
Visitors may register by calling (573) 546-7051 beginning each Monday at 7:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. to schedule a visit. Appointments are limited

What may I bring to an inmate in the County Jail?
Nothing may be brought in and left for inmates for security reasons. Inmates must purchase all items from Tiger commissary (link below).

No items will be accepted for inmates.
No items will be accepted for inmates scheduled for transport to Missouri Department of Corrections. Any items for these inmates must be sent or taken to the facility where the inmate will be assigned.

What are the rules for visiting an inmate in the County Jail?
Persons must produce a picture I.D.
Person must be at least 16 years of age.
Proper conduct by all visitors and inmate is expected. Improper conduct, by either party, will result in termination of the visit.
Individuals who have indications of alcohol or drug use will not be allowed visitation.
The administration reserves the right to deny visitation by persons deemed to be improperly dressed or suspected of carrying contraband. Proper attire includes shoes, sandals, shorts, pants, and shirts of conservative length. Females are also required to wear a brassier. Improper attire includes any clothing that is too revealing as deemed by the staff.
What are the rules for writing to an inmate in the County Jail?
When corresponding with an inmate by mail, address the envelope in the following manner:

All incoming mail will be opened and screened prior to be given to inmates.
Only the following items will be allowed by mail or by delivery service:
10 photos per inmate.
Items received for inmates no longer in custody will be returned to sender, not forwarded.
NOTE: Anyone attempting to pass any contraband will be arrested and charged. Individuals caught attempting to pass contraband will no longer be allowed to visit inmates.
