Baldor Generator / Light Plant (unit 7984)
In 2011 the Emergency Management Team received a grant for a 60kw diesel generator and light plant from the Regional Homeland Oversight Committee (RHSOC). With the cooperation of the Arcadia Valley School District and a grant from the Edgar Foundation, the generator is now compatible with the Middle School Gymnasium and Cafeteria. Winpower Generator (unit 7985)
Manufactured in 1954, this 15kw gas generator was previously used as the back-up generator for the Iron County Sheriff’s Department and Jail. After it was replaced several years ago, the Arcadia Valley Career-Tech School returned it to running condition, mounted it on a military surplus trailer, and painted it.
